Although Bram joined Demcon with a background in control engineering, typically aligned with high-tech projects, his first assignments were in the medical domain, where he spent around ten years working in Eindhoven. After some time, he felt ready for a change. As it turned out, the change he was looking for was not a different company, but a return to his high-tech roots.

Two years ago, Laura was hired as an interim scrum master for the software team. Even as an external hire, she quickly became a key link in the team’s collaboration. When a permanent position later opened up, she didn’t hesitate; she wanted to stay and truly become part of Demcon.

When Jasmijn first walked into Demcon, she didn’t yet know which direction she wanted to take. With a degree in Biomedical Engineering but few clearly defined biomedical engineering roles outside the academic world, the job search in the Twente region felt limited. Still, she found exactly what she needed at Demcon: space to explore, to grow, and to shape her own path.

What started as a simple internship ended up shaping the course of Daan’s education and career. During his secondary vocational education in mechatronics, Daan took an orientation internship at Demcon, working on prototyping. That experience became a turning point.

After more than a decade at Radboud University, completing her bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD in physics, Elze felt it was time for a change. “I wanted to experience the working world outside of academia,” she says. “Preferably at a larger company, where I could explore different roles and really find out what suits me.”

Over the years, Bart and Demcon have been drawn to each other like magnets. His journey began as a working student at Demcon kryoz, and although he has explored different paths, Demcon has always remained part of his story.
