We are looking for an experienced Lead Assembly Technician who is interested in assembling, assembling and testing complex liquid and gas systems. In addition to your assembly duties, you will coordinate work on the shop floor and be the first point of contact in the workshop. 

Convergence started as a spin-off from the University of Twente in 2010. Since then Convergence has specialized in making customer specific measurement and control systems for liquids and gases.  Specifically we are strong in supplying membrane testers. Our systems are delivered to our international customer base consisting of prestigious universities, corporate innovation labs, life science and biopharma companies. 

The company became part of the Demcon Group in the summer of 2022 and with that the name was changed to DEMCON convergence. Together with the Demcon Group, we will continue to expand and further professionalize the company.

In June 2024 we moved into another building with a new workshop with modern facilities at the Institutenweg in Enschede. Because of this we are now together with all the other Demcon companies at the knowledge park and can cooperate well where necessary.

• Assembly and testing of complex liquid and gas systems;
• The first point of contact in the workshop and functionally manages a small team of assembly technicians;
• Establish planning together with the engineering manager and project managers;
• Thinking along on implementing improvements and changes in work processes;
• Being the link between production and other activities within the company;
• Train and supervise new employees in the workshop;
• You ensure that all important measuring instruments are calibrated;
• Responsible for HSE tasks within the company;
• Working in day shift at our location in Enschede.

Although we work from a product standard, no two systems are the same. Our systems are usually put together by our engineering department based on customer requirements.

• Passion for technology;
• You have completed an education at least at MBO level in a technical field, such as mechanical engineering, installation engineering or automotive engineering;
• You have experience in building high-tech systems;
• Specific experience in the field of liquid and gas systems (working with tubing, Swagelok products and flow meters is an advantage);
• Experience building vacuum systems is a plus;
• You have experience with lean methodology;
• You are a team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
