Alia Instruments develops and supplies innovative measurement solutions for the dredging, maritime and mining industries. The company’s flagship product is the Alia Density Meter (ADM), a unique non-nuclear slurry density meter used worldwide in challenging applications where traditional measurement methods fall short. From the Netherlands, Alia Instruments works with international customers, including organisations active in dredging, shipbuilding and mining.
Due to the company’s growth, we are looking for an inside sales / sales support specialist.

Alia Instruments specialises in innovative density measurement solutions for abrasive and corrosive slurry applications. The technology behind the Alia Density Meter provides a unique, non-nuclear alternative to traditional nuclear density meters. The systems are used worldwide in industries including dredging, shipbuilding and mining to optimise production processes and make them more sustainable. With a small, highly skilled and entrepreneurial team, Alia Instruments works every day to develop high-quality technology for customers around the world.
What are you going to do?
In this role, you ensure that the sales process runs smoothly, from the initial customer contact through to the administrative processing of orders. You will also play an important role in strengthening the organisation’s online visibility and generating new leads.
Your responsibilities include:
- Generating new leads through online marketing activities and digital campaigns;
- Contributing ideas for marketing strategies, content and online visibility;
- Processing and following up on leads in the CRM system;
- Contacting potential customers and gathering relevant information;
- Preparing quotations in collaboration with the sales team;
- Following up on quotations and maintaining customer relationships;
- Keeping customers informed about the progress of their orders;
- Supporting export and transport documentation;
- Assisting with order documentation and invoicing;
- Responding to incoming enquiries and telephone calls.
What do you bring to the table?
You enjoy connecting with people, work accurately and feel comfortable in an international environment.
You also recognise yourself in the following:
- MBO+ level of working and thinking;
- An affinity with sales, marketing and customer contact;
- Good command of the Dutch language;
- Excellent written communication skills in English;
- Experience with CRM systems is an advantage;
- You are proactive, independent and well organised;
- You can easily switch between commercial, administrative and marketing-related activities.
