What are you going to do?
As a business developer you are responsible for increasing and maintaining Demcon's market share. With your network and entrepreneurship you know how to identify potential customers, put Demcon on the map as a technology supplier and create openings where the added value of Demcon comes into its own. With existing customers you are responsible for maintaining the, often long-term, relationship with them.
After you have made the first contact with a potential customer, you will remain involved in terms of content until the completion of the quotation, after which you will remain involved to maintain and strengthen the relationship with the customer. Working closely with the project manager and system engineers, you know how to convert the client's broad, often incomplete, request into a complete project proposal, including phase transitions and risk management. You are able to form a good opinion of the technical issues in order to get to the heart of the problem. You know how to link the customer's needs to the services Demcon has to offer.
What do you bring to the table?
- Completed technical college or university education;
- At least 5 years of commercial work experience in project sales, for example in the medical devices, photonics, high tech, medical systems or analytics branches;
- Strong commercial ability: be able to properly assess the customer and opportunities for Demcon;
- Command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
- Willingness to travel (internationally).
