What are you going to do?

As Business Developer, you are responsible for increasing and maintaining Demcon’s market share. With your network and entrepreneurship, you know how to identify potential customers, put Demcon on their map as a technology supplier and create openings that showcase Demcon’s added value. With existing customers, you are responsible for maintaining the, often long-term, relationship with them.

After you have made the first contact with a potential client, you remain involved in terms of content until the quotation is finalised, after which you remain involved to maintain and strengthen the relationship with the client. Working closely with the project manager and system engineers, you know how to convert the client’s broad, often incomplete, request into a complete project proposal, including phase transitions and risk management. You are able to form a good opinion of the technical issues in order to get to the heart of the problem. In doing so, you know how to link the client’s needs to the services DEMCON has to offer.

What do you bring to the table?

  • Completed technical HBO or WO education;
  •  At least 5 years of commercial work experience in project sales, for example in the medical devices, photonics, high tech, medical systems or analytics sectors;
  • Strong commercial ability: be able to properly assess the customer and opportunities for Demcon;
  • Fluent in the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing;
  • Willingness to travel (internationally).
  • Living in the Delft or Enschede area
