Work as a software engineer on optical and vision assignments within Demcon focal. That means working on various challenging projects and delivering concrete solutions for our customers. Come and have a coffee for an introduction.

About Demcon

Demcon Focal is part of the Demcon group and specializes in the design, development and production of opto-mechatronic systems and complex vision systems. At Demcon Focal we work on the latest developments in optics, lens assemblies, 2D and 3D inspection methods, real-time computational techniques and artificial intelligence. Our solutions have applications in various fields such as semiconductor, biomedical, aerospace, and agro-food industries.

What are you going to do?

You are able to think along with a variety of customer questions and know how to translate these into solutions and proposals for the software that will be made in our projects. You will work in a multidisciplinary team where there is room for further growth and development.

In this position you will mainly work on challenging optical and vision projects. These projects include work on lighting optics, imaging optics and highly accurate 2D and 3D measurement systems. The work includes systems for light-based surface characterization and industrial inspections (machine vision). An important part of these vision solutions is the associated software layer, in which the connection is made between the various components (hardware and software) and the user interface. As a software engineer you therefore play an important role in the total solution.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have at least a college degree, preferably in the direction of Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science or Technical Computer Science;
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development;
  • You have experience with C#/WPF/.NET and keep your professional knowledge up to date;
  • Affinity with vision applications is a plus;
  • You have knowledge of or experience with various aspects of software development such as asynchronous programming, user interaction & GUI design, and use of APIs (consume & create);
  • You are capable of assessing risks;
  • Furthermore, you are analytically strong, have a good conceptual ability, result-oriented, energetic and driven.

What do we offer you?

At Demcon we value a nice workplace. For example, we have good coffee and there is free fresh fruit waiting for you every week. There is also a lot of personal attention and we discourage overtime because we know how important home is.

Furthermore, you can count on, among other things:

  • A good, market-based salary;
  • 31 days off and 8% vacation allowance;
  • A good pension plan at Zwitserleven;
  • The opportunity to follow training and courses through the Demcon Academy so you can further develop your knowledge;
  • A laptop and telephone from work;
  • Bicycle plan;
  • Active personnel association (monthly activities such as drinks and an annual Demcon weekend) and annual sporting events.
