We are looking for a driven CAD engineer/project engineer for the realization of our fluid and gas systems.

Demcon convergence started in 2010 as a spin-off from the University of Twente. Since then, Demcon convergence has specialised in making customer specific measurement and control systems for liquids and gases.  Specifically, we are strong in supplying membrane test systems. Our laboratory instruments are delivered to our international customer base, consisting of prestigious universities, corporate innovation labs, life science and biopharma companies. 

The company became part of the Demcon group in the summer of 2022. Together with the Demcon group, we will continue to grow the business.

In June 2024, we moved to another building with new workshop and modern facilities at Institutenweg in Enschede. We are now together with all the other Demcon companies on the 'Kennispark' and can work well together, where necessary.

• You will become part of a small project team responsible for developing and delivering customer-specific measurement and control systems for liquids and gases.
• You will work closely with project engineers, project managers, buyers and the workshop technicians. This gives you the opportunity to learn a lot and develop quickly within our organization.
• Within our projects you will be specifically involved in the development of the Technical Production Documentation (TPD) of our systems.
• You will develop 2D concept fluid diagrams into a complete 3D CAD model, together with the corresponding parts list.
• By working closely with our project engineers you will quickly get a lot of knowledge about designing fluid systems. As an engineer you will have the opportunity to develop yourself technically in addition to your CAD work. 

You will also be given a leadership role within our organization in the areas of CAD tools, component & product standardization and product configuration. Together with our lead engineering you will work on a roadmap to make better use of the latest engineering tools so that we work even more effectively. Here you can think about the further creation and expansion of a Component Library, the smart connection of the 2D schematic world with our 3D tool, the reuse of modules and use of design automation where possible. Step by step we want to perform parts of our detail engineering more and more in a configure-to-order manner. For this you will also become part of a Demcon wide CAD/PDM competence network, in which you will work together with the other Demcon companies to share knowledge and align best practices.  

• A completed technical education at bachelor's level. Candidates with a mbo 4 background and work experience are also welcome to apply;
• Knowledge and professional experience with 3D CAD based on Solid Works, experience with PDM and possibly also a Solid Works Schematics.
• 0-6 years of work experience within an engineering environment.
• Fluent command of the Dutch and English language;
• You know what an ERP package is and how this relates to a PDM (Product Data Management) tool.
• You are eager to learn, accurate and have an eye for detail;
• You are a team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
• Experience with reading a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and electrical schematics is a big plus, but certainly not necessary. You can learn this perfectly well with us.
• The ambition to take on a leading and important role in the design of our engineering tools.
