We are looking for a driven project engineer/mechanical engineer for the realisation of our fluid and gas systems.

Demcon convergence started in 2010 as a spin-off from the University of Twente. Since then, Demcon convergence has specialised in making customer specific measurement and control systems for liquids and gases.  Specifically, we are strong in supplying membrane test systems. Our laboratory instruments are delivered to our international customer base, consisting of prestigious universities, corporate innovation labs, life science and biopharma companies. 

The company became part of the Demcon group in the summer of 2022. Together with the Demcon group, we will continue to grow the business.

In June 2024, we moved to another building with new workshop and modern facilities at Institutenweg in Enschede. We are now together with all the other Demcon companies on the 'Kennispark' and can work well together, where necessary.

As a project engineer fluid systems at Demcon convergence: 

• You are technically responsible for delivering customer-specific measurement and control systems for liquids and gases;
• You translate customer requirements into system requirements and define relevant interfaces;
• You take the lead within the project team and ensure that the system is delivered as agreed;
• You provide technical support for sales and service activities;
• You maintain contact with colleagues, suppliers and customers all over the world.

• You have an affinity for engineering and a passion for the profession;
• A completed technical college education, e.g. mechanical engineering, mechatronics or process engineering;
• At least 2 to 6 years of work experience desirable within an engineering environment, we are also happy to engage with potential starters;
• Fluent command of the Dutch and English languages;
• You are able to eventually take a technical lead role in a project and coordinate with other disciplines such as purchasing, quality, workshop and contacts on the customer's side;
• Experience in reading a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and selecting pumps, sensors and fittings is an advantage;
• Knowledge and professional experience of 3D CAD (Solid Works) is an advantage;
• You are a team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
