Demcon defense & security systems is a developer of technological solutions and producer of advanced systems for defense and security.

As project manager defense & security, you direct the technical, organisational and qualitative aspects of the projects. You oversee and are responsible for the entire process, from quotation (baseline definition, concept, risks, hourly budget and planning) to the realisation of the project for the customer. You monitor technical progress, planning, scope and budget. You also maintain relations with the customer and other stakeholders. As a result, you manage the project from head to tail, never losing focus on the details.

You respond proactively to bottlenecks. You ensure excellent communication with the customer to create support within the project team and maintain good internal communication within Demcon. You are internally focused, but also responsible for the commercial aspect. Projects will vary from a partial development or demonstrator to a total system solution in the above areas. 

• A completed bachelor’s/master’s degree and extensive knowledge in own technical field;
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a (technical) project leader/project manager focused on development/product development;
• Result- and customer-oriented with a plan-oriented attitude;
• Empathic ability and an enthusiastic personality;
• Fluent in both the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing;
• Experience in working with or for defence is an advantage.
