In our projects in the high-tech and medical field, we deal with high quality standards, technical complexity and very specific requirements for catalogue and manufacturing parts. As part of the project team, as Project Buyer you are responsible for all procurement-related matters of the specific project from the start of the idea to realisation. You work with fellow buyers to gain (and share) knowledge and liaise with the operational procurement team to ensure parts are delivered on time. Your job is to identify the procurement needs in order to select the right suppliers. To do this, you work closely with the project manager and the other project team members. You actively seek synergy in order to achieve the best possible solution together. 

Colleagues can rely on you to guarantee the delivered quality and agreements with our suppliers. We sometimes demand the utmost from our suppliers. As Project Buyer, you therefore build strong relationships with our suppliers and ensure quality and manufacturability through intensive cooperation. You are pragmatic when possible, but strict when necessary. You will navigate between the interests of single-piece construction versus the preparation of a series product.

Through collaboration with fellow buyers or from your own network knowledge, you know which supplier to turn to for just that one specific part. You also keep abreast of the latest developments and opportunities in the manufacturing industry for precision mechanics, electro(nics) and plastic production techniques. You spread this knowledge throughout the company. 

Moreover, you are keen to further professionalise the purchasing competence within the company. To this end, you take the freedom to make and initiate improvement proposals. You do this together with your purchasing colleagues from other branches. For this, you know how to connect people.

• 3 years working experience in technical procurement rol;
• HBO or WO thinking/working level in a technical field and has NEVI 1;
• Strong commercial and social skills;
