About Demcon
DEMCON unmanned systems (DUS) develops and builds electric and hybrid-powered unmanned surface vessels (USVs) up to 24 meters in length. These vessels are deployed for inspection, monitoring, and maintenance operations, ranging from inland waterways to offshore environments.Our systems are modular by design, varying from standard platforms to fully customer-specific solutions. They are based on our own innovations in unmanned platform technology, autonomous navigation, and control software.

What are you going to do?
As an assembly and service technicianyou will work closely with your colleagues on the construction, assembly, testing, and maintenance of USVs and new prototypes. This is a broad, hands-on role with a strong focus on electrical engineering, complemented by mechanical work.
You will be involved throughout the entire lifecycle: development, assembly, and integration, through to testing, delivery, and technical support, service and maintenance. You will also play an active role in the innovation process by building test setups, performing system tests, and documenting and feeding back findings to improve designs.
You will regularly support test runs and sea trials, including launching vessels, assisting from a support vessel, and resolving technical issues in real operational conditions. Maritime experience is a plus, but required certifications (such as boating licenses) can be obtained through us. In addition, you will support the compact team with operational, facility-related, and logistical activities.
What do you bring to the table?
- MBO-4 level of working and thinking (through education and/or experience)
- Broad technical interest: electrical engineering, mechanics, and affinity with software
- Practical, precise, and solution-oriented mindset
- Team player with a proactive and customer-focused attitude
- Starter, junior, or medior profile with relevant (hands-on) experience
- Experience or knowledge in the following areas is an advantage:
- Electrical engineering
- Reading technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Working with MS Office (digitally proficient)
- Good command of both English and Dutch (willing to learn)
- Valid driver’s license
