At Demcon Life Sciences and Health, we design medical systems, including the software that goes along with it. Cybersecurity is an increasingly relevant topic in this field, which we must also consider when designing our systems. Chip manufacturers and open-source projects offer tools to create an application that is "secure by design." This is relatively new, and we at Demcon are very interested in these new tools.

Assignment

This internship is about discovering what "secure by design" entails, researching which tools and frameworks are useful, and demonstrating an example architecture that can make our systems "secure by design."

The following skills are very welcome to achieve this:

• C/C++ programming
• Understanding of cybersecurity

The student is expected to write a report on what "secure by design" actually is, how we can best apply it, and will eventually create an example based on the findings.

Bachelor or Master student in the field of Computer Science, or similar studies

• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with memory mapped IO
• An affinity for cybersecurity
